Andrew BLEASEL

Dr Andrew Bleasel is a Neurologist at Westmead Hospital. He became interested in epilepsy while training in Neurology at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and then completed a PhD in cellular neurophysiology at Sydney University. He undertook a Clinical Fellowship in Epilepsy at the Cleveland Clinic in Ohio before taking up his current position at Westmead Hospital in 1996 where he is the Director of the Epilepsy Unit. He is a Clinical Senior Lecturer with the University of Sydney and has recently taken up the position of Sub Dean Education, Sydney Medical Program at the Westmead Clinical School. He is very involved in teaching with the Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists and the Epilepsy Society of Australia. He is the Secretary of the Commission of Asian and Oceanian Affairs of the ILAE and teaches throughout South East Asia and Australia.
